To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com Job Description You’ll be part of the Frontline Technology Strategy (UX) team responsible for conceptualizing and designing UX for employee-facing software applications, by partnering with other units across the bank to build complicated banking systems, impacting 40,000 employees. You’ll provide sophisticated analysis and design direction for complex user experience tasks on multiple types of applications. You’ll consult directly with business and project teams, to recommend solutions. You’ll support the business through UX consultation with various levels of management, including the executive level. Your first assignment is to lead the UX research, analysis, design, prototyping and user testing for our transformational project. As a highly skilled leader in the User Experience discipline, you’ll play a key role in re-imagining the future of CIBC’s employee and customer experience. How You’ll Succeed Strategic Thinking – Take a holistic view to all tasks and understand short and long term impact of design decisions. You provide insights by spending time with frontline employees to understand how they execute their goals with the software tools provided, and provide design direction that will enhance the employee and customer experience while meeting business objectives. You get buy-in from stakeholders by making recommendations based on CIBC’s vision, business needs and objectives, industry trends, competitive landscape and metrics. Co-create and prototype – You’ll host interactive ideation and co-creation workshops with clients and employees to develop a vision for future experiences. You’ll conceptualize, build, test and refine low- to medium-fidelity prototypes, such as sketches, storyboards, digital wireframes, physical spaces and face-to-face conversations, that demonstrate possible solutions and service experiences. You’ll design testing and feedback mechanisms to measure results and the effect they have on the bank. Consulting - Plan, coordinate, and present usability studies across multiple projects and be accountable for disseminating the findings to the entire UX team, and to various stakeholder, business and technology partners. Work directly with the Director of UX, and the other UX manager(s), to create user experience solutions based on an understanding of business, human factors, and technology requirements and implications. Introduce user experience best practices and design system guidelines that can be applied across applications. Relationship Management - Liaise with business partners, including vendor consultants, product groups, support teams, change management team and work closely with other UX designers to ensure visual and interaction consistency across products and platforms. Direct working experience with Salesforce Lightning platform and Saleforce Trailblazer community is an asset. Who You Are You demonstrate expert-level experience in prototyping and documentation tools such as Axure, Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch/InVision, Figma, etc. You have 8+ years’ experience working on UX projects for software applications. You have 5+ years’ experience leading projects through design and research. You have knowledge of HCI principles, responsive design, design systems, accessibility, user research techniques and usability testing. You understand technology issues and the implications on client experience, including cross-platform issues, cross-browser issues, Content Management Systems, portals, legacy systems, and middleware. You understand Digital business issues including financial services delivery, digital marketing techniques, privacy issues, legal issues and third party solutions. You understand creative design, including branding, graphic design, typography and marketing, and business requirements definition, and software development lifecycle methodologies. Experience with Agile methodologies and Service Design are an asset. You have a degree/diploma in Computer science, Engineering, Industrial/Graphics Design, Business, Information Studies, Cognitive Psychology or related fields. You're digitally savvy.
