SMG – Service Management Group is looking for a Junior UX Writer! SMG is looking for a Junior UX Writer with an interest in Content Design to support our busy UX team. If you’re a dynamic, positive individual looking for a fully remote career opportunity in a fun industry with a growing business, we want you to join our team! As a member of the UX Team, you’ll partner with Research, Product, and Technology teams to create consistent, conversational, and practical in-product copy across the customer journey. This is what you will be doing: • Write and edit UI copy for product flows, interfaces, and communications like error messages, notifications, onboarding emails, and newsletters. • Maintain UX Writing documentation and perform audits to keep things organized. • Learn how to design and iteratively test copy that helps users and teams meet their goals. • Collaborate with peers across teams including Design, Research, Client Insights, and Product, throughout the product development lifecycle. • Learn about writing and design principles and how to apply them to customer messaging. • Maintain content guidelines, tone-of-voice, and related assets and become an advocate for teaching others. • Learn about accessibility principles and guidelines and how to apply them to writing. • Support the adoption of UX Writing/Content Design across SMG by demonstrating impact. You are a perfect match for this role if you have: • 1+ year of UX Writing/Content Design or related experience • A portfolio showing examples of your writing or content design experience • Excellent writing and communication skills • Some familiarity with user experience principles and practices • Some experience working with cross-disciplinary teams • Some knowledge of accessibility requirements Nice to have but not required: • A formal study in English, Content Design, UX Writing, or Communications • Some experience using Figma What we offer to our talent: • This is a fully remote, permanent, full-time position.
